Volunteering doesn’t have to be a group activity. Because I said I would has always focused on individual action and we are experts at it. For years we have used Individual Action Plans in our Chapter Program. Now it’s time to put them to use fighting COVID-19. If you want to help the world, but you don’t know where to start, you’ve come to the right place.
I will sew face masks to donate to my local hospital or health organization to help with the shortage of personal protective equipment for hospital staff.
I will stage a one-person parade to help others feel connected and show them that they are not alone.
I will maintain a healthy lifestyle during this difficult time to boost my immunity and reduce my stress levels.
I will share a story about my grandparents on social media or with my family. I will pledge to do my part for them by staying home.
I will call my grandparents (or elderly relatives or neighbors) at least twice a week during self-quarantine.
I will help an elderly person in my life (friend, family, neighbor) by teaching them how to use a grocery delivery app which will allow them to have groceries delivered instead of going out to shop.
I will follow safe handwashing practices and encourage others to join me.
I will clean and disinfect my house/surroundings by following the CDC guidelines.
I will be an accountability partner for at least one of my friends or family members who needs me during this difficult time.
I will donate blood during the COVID-19 Crisis.
Generations will look back on the sacrifices we made for one another during this time. Let’s give them something to look up to. Join our 30-day fundraising campaign.
