Teaching Honesty, Accountability & Self-Control to Offenders
The core components of the Corrections program teach both adult and juvenile offenders to understand and practice skills through character development and social emotional learning. Workshops consisting of videos, discussions and promise planning help them to recognize that self-control is not easy and to understand cause and effect.
The Corrections Program has been found to improve conduct in the prison and reduce recidivism. Through our speeches, workshops, videos, book club, lesson plans and activities, program participants learn to better understand the consequences of their actions and strengthen their character. The overall culture of the facilities changes as offenders learn to apply skills and tactics to assist them in keeping their promises, taking accountability, and working on their self-control.
