Role Overview

The Mental Health Program Manager will report to the Chief Operating Officer and work with program team members and other staff across programs. This position offers an opportunity to inform, design, and build programs that support mental health based on best practices and work directly with individuals by connecting with supporters.

Responsibilities:

  • Informs and designs educational programs based on research and best practices in mental health, collaborating with other team members
  • Improves staff competence by providing educational resources and training as needed
  •  Work with supporters to determine mental health challenges to connect them to longer-term solutions to face their adversities. Clients may also be facing challenges with substance abuse, suicidal ideation, employment concerns, disease, bereavement, and other challenges
  • Monitors program participants through self-reporting and client check-in; obtaining additional resources as applicable; intervening in crises; providing personal support.
  • Maintains clients’ records by reviewing notes, logging events and progress.
  • Communicate clients’ progress by conducting weekly reporting.
  • Improves results by studying, evaluating, and re-designing processes; implementing changes; rewriting procedures when needed.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a passionate and strategic-minded Director of Sales and Marketing to lead our outreach efforts and amplify our impact. This pivotal role will spearhead the development and execution of sales (60% of role) and marketing (40% of role) strategies, driving revenue growth and expanding the organization’s reach.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Facilities and Construction Manager to oversee our company’s construction projects and manage our facilities maintenance and operations. Role Overview: 


We’re seeking a dedicated and dynamic individual to join our team as the Lead Housekeeper/Operations Associate. Reporting directly to the Camp Executive, you’ll play a vital role in supporting Camp Because I said I would’s mission by ensuring our facilities are clean, well-maintained, and ready for our guests. You will also assist with various operational tasks and lead the housekeeping staff to ensure smooth camp operations.


Responsibilities:

  • Daily Cleaning: Clean and sanitize all camp facilities, including lodging areas, meeting spaces, and common areas, ensuring a high standard of cleanliness.
  • Linen Management: Launder and properly store Retreat Center linens as needed, maintaining a sufficient supply for guest use.
  • Health Standards Compliance: Ensure that all cleaning activities comply with health and sanitation standards, including those related to food service areas, restrooms, and communal spaces.
  • Seasonal Deep Cleaning: Organize and lead seasonal deep cleaning efforts of all facilities, including carpets, windows, curtains, and hard-to-reach areas that are not part of regular cleaning routines.
  • Lost Item Tracking: Maintain a log of lost and found items, ensuring that they are properly stored and returned to guests when possible.
  • Inspection and Reporting: Conduct regular inspections of facilities to complete and verify cleaning checklists according to the standards set by camp leadership.
  • Inventory Management: Track and replenish linen, cleaning, and paper supplies, ensuring that stock levels are adequate and accounted for.
  • Team Coordination: Work closely with the housekeeping team to prepare and transition facilities between different user groups, adjusting schedules as required. Ensure that all tasks are completed to the camp’s high standards.
  • Training and Development: Provide ongoing training and support to housekeeping staff, helping them to develop their skills and maintain consistency in their work.
  • Event Setup & Teardown: Assist with setting up and tearing down spaces for meetings and special events, ensuring all materials and technical equipment are in place and functional.
  • Facility Coordination: Collaborate with other staff members to ensure facilities are prepared and maintained for families and groups throughout the year.

Role Overview: 

We’re looking for a dedicated and dynamic individual to join our team as the Guest Experience & Event Manager. In this role, you’ll be the primary point of contact for our guests, ensuring they have an extraordinary experience from the moment they arrive until their departure.


Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute 30 corporate/nonprofit retreats a year: Work closely with corporate and nonprofit clients to understand their objectives and craft personalized retreat plans. Oversee the entire event lifecycle, from concept development and budgeting to on-site management and post-event wrap-up.
  • Manage guest experience from reservation throughout their visit for approximately 1,000 primary guest contacts a year, including but not limited to taking reservations, conducting event/program planning calls, changing reservations, guest requests, and greeting guests upon arrival.
  • Work in conjunction with staff to ensure that the facilities are ready for families and groups throughout the year by communicating unique needs, check-in requests and other special requirements in a documented fashion in our CRM system (SalesForce) and other software.
  • Support business development efforts: Work in tangent with the business development team to process the sales cycle for retreats and other on-site events. Conduct tours and networking events at camp; answer questions to potential clients.
  • Collaborate with +15 vendors overall: Establish and maintain strong relationships with a diverse network of vendors. Coordinate with these professionals, including hot air balloon pilots, florists, photographers, caterers, and entertainers, to provide excellent service and meet the unique needs of each event.
  • Maintain accurate guest records: Keep detailed records of all guest interactions, reservations, payments, and feedback. Use this data to personalize service, make improvements, and address any recurring issues.
  • Manage wedding event planning for 8 weddings a year: Liaise with couples to understand their vision for their big day and create bespoke wedding packages. Handle all aspects, including venue decoration, catering, entertainment, photography, and any other services required.
  • Coordinate services and manage logistics.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Experience with event management and execution (large scale: 200-300 guests; volume: 10-50 events per year).
  • Management of guest experience with a kind and professional demeanor.
  • Bachelor’s degree or associate’s degree in business, event planning, hospitality management or communication or equivalent experience is preferred; or 3-5 years of commiserate experience instead of degree.
  • Excellent organizational skills and capacity to problem solve.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends based on the seasonal demands of retreat groups.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with others in a team setting.

Reporting to Camp Director the Senior Project and Repair Manager will help manage the 92-acre property by performing repair and maintenance of camp facilities following safety regulations and policies and procedures; maintenance tasks include basic carpentry, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing work.


Responsibilities:

  • Inspects facilities, and prioritizes necessary repairs, improvements, and preventive maintenance.
  • Follows all safety rules and regulations to minimize risk and enhance the safety of employees and visitors; checks property and grounds for unsafe conditions, and clears hazards; reports safety conditions, security issues, and illegal activities.
  • Oversees other maintenance and handyman staff and volunteers.
  • Manages maintenance projects for the property and works directly with the Camp Director to manage construction projects.
  • Performs a variety of skilled and semi-skilled facilities maintenance, preventive maintenance, component replacement, and repair tasks, including carpentry, mechanical, and basic non-licensed electrical and plumbing work; cleans and maintains specialized camp kitchen equipment.
  • Works on assigned projects, and makes appropriate decisions based on work experience and individual skills; notifies supervisors of repair problems beyond the scope of authority.
  • Perform specialized seasonal work including hot tubs, swimming pool maintenance, campgrounds maintenance including watering, mowing, and weeding, cleaning up trash and debris, trimming trees and shrubs, loads, and hauling materials.
  • Clean buildings including vacuuming, sweeping, toilets, emptying garbage, keep vehicles clean and maintained.
  • Inspects and maintains assigned equipment and small tools for proper operating condition; completes minor repairs on equipment as needed.
  • Operates vehicles and equipment by all safety regulations and procedures; identifies and reports mechanical problems requiring additional repair.
  • Completes daily work log, incident and accident report, and requisitions for supplies and materials.
  • Removes snow and ice from roads and sidewalks using a tractor, shovel, and snow blower; performs maintenance and repair on snow and ice removal equipment (seasonal).

Qualifications:

  • Experience and skills in handyman tasks including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and basic vehicle mechanics.
  • Experience working with power tools and knowledge of their safe operation.
  • Excellent work habits including punctuality, efficient use of time, and prioritizing tasks.
  • Working independently to maintain and repair facilities according to standards.
  • Operating and maintaining vehicles, tools, and equipment safely and effectively, including snow and ice removal.
  • Knowledge of and compliance with safety codes and standards for ground facilities.
  • Project management experience is strongly preferred.
