I submitted a request for Promise Cards over 30 days ago and I still have not received them. How can I get my cards?
Offering to send 10 Promise Cards to anywhere in the world is a promise. We take this commitment very seriously. But that does not mean that we are perfect and things outside of our control do not sometimes happen. Although we try our best to send every pack, sometimes there are errors on our side, sometimes the address is incomplete or incorrect and sometimes they get lost or destroyed in the transit. The best way to ensure that you get the cards is to fill out another request at

I want to order a very large quantity of promise cards for my school, team or organization. How do I get them and how do you recommend I introduce this message to my group?
Promise cards can always be printed at no cost using the template on this page. But we sell promise cards at a very affordable price because we print them 500,000 at a time. If you would like to buy a big box, please visit our store. We recommend introducing the message by following these steps:

  1. Play our first TEDxTalk video to your group
  2. Explain why promises are important to you. Do you have a personal example in your life?
  3. Give every person in your group at least a few promise cards and challenge them to write a promise.
  4. Follow up with your group via email to see how things are going. Share some of our other stories or videos in that follow up email so they are reminded of the importance of commitment.
  5. Share your promise stories with the movement through social media and tagging us. You can also submit them directly to us through our website here. We might even share it with everyone.

I would like to book Alex or another because I said I would speaker to speak at my organization’s event. Is he available?
Alex schedule fills up quickly, so we’d love to hear about your event and need for a speaker. Undoubtedly, the best way to express interest in having Alex speak is through the form here. That form goes straight into our Director of Speaking Engagement’s inbox and starts a process that is much quicker than an independent email. Because I said I would speakers speak both in the United States and abroad. Please note that we have multiple official speakers including the Co-Founder of because I said I would, Amanda Messer. Learn more about speaking engagements here.

I am an individual donor or I represent an organization that may want to support because I said I would financially. Where do I learn more about where the money would go? Are you financially effective?
100% of your donation goes directly to our charitable programs and we are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, making all donations tax deductible. Not a penny of your support is bogged down by administrative expenses. How? All of our organization’s overhead expenses are covered by our founder’s speaking engagement fees. I’d like to partner with because I said I would. Who do I reach out to?
If you haven’t already, please write a detailed description on how you would like to work together. Please note that we are a non-commercial nonprofit organization so many partnerships with for-profit organizations fall outside of our policies. However, we are still open to your thoughts. Because I said I would does partner with nonprofits for events and certain campaigns. Our capacity is very limited, but we love supporting other charitable causes! Send any partnership inquiries to

I want to start a high school or adult chapter. How do I start one?
We want to start chapters as quickly as we can in the United States and around the world. We are fortunate to have a lot of interest in doing this, but we have limited financial resources and we can only hire staff so fast.
