We are seeking an experienced Senior Facilities and Construction Manager to oversee our company’s construction projects, volunteer groups and manage our facilities maintenance and operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all construction projects are completed on time, within budget, and to our quality standards. Reporting directly to the Camp Executive, you’ll play a vital role in supporting Camp Because I said I would’s mission by ensuring our facilities are clean, well-maintained, and ready for our guests. Daily Cleaning: Clean and sanitize all camp facilities, including lodging areas, meeting spaces, and common areas, ensuring a high standard of cleanliness.
Linen Management: Launder and properly store Retreat Center linens as needed, maintaining a sufficient supply for guest use.

We’re hiring a Camp Chef to prepare and serve meals at Camp because I said I would — a place where compassion and community drive every gathering. Our guests include families in bereavement, corporate teams, nonprofit staff, and youth in day programs. Events range from 5 to 100 guests, with most groups in the 5–30 range.
This is a part-time W-2 employee position in a newly constructed, 900 sq. ft. commercial kitchen (built in 2025). The Camp Chef is responsible for end-to-end kitchen operations — from prep and plating to inventory and cleanup — while also managing part-time help such as dishwashers, sous chefs, or volunteers when needed.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and serve meals for 5–20 events per month, primarily small groups of 5–30, up to 100 on occasion

The Fulfillment Manager, reporting directly to the CEO, is instrumental in managing logistics for over 100 annual events and handling product sales at these events. Choose from three options: stay in our 5th-wheel trailer, bring your own RV (we provide the spot), or live in a 10x20ft studio cabin with a small kitchen and bath. A commitment of 90-180 days is required. Enjoy amenities like our hot tubs, swimming at our lake, 9-hole disc golf course, forest trail, archery range, movie library, board games, and more!
Work Hours:
Only a maximum of 8 hours of actual volunteering per week is needed! However, this volunteer would need to be available on-site for 8 hours a day for 4 days a week (In other words, 32 hours of availability, but not working that whole time! Just available in case a guest’s needs arise. – Available at least 2 weekends a month.

About the Role: We are seeking Camp Host volunteers to work and stay at Camp because I said I would and assist with guest relations and camp safety duties. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for creating a great stay experience for guests, including grieving families.
Possible Role Responsibilities (one or more of the following areas):
Ensure that all camp safety policies and procedures are followed
Greet guests and perform check-in and out procedures
Answer guest questions about the property including giving a tour of cabin and ammentities
Helping with small maintenance and housekeeping duties (e.g. light bulb change, bringing firewood, bringing towels or other cabin needs

You may also be involved in tasks like repairing toilet seats, unjamming doors, removing window A/C units, and changing light bulbs. It’s all based on whatever skillset you bring to the table!

The Program Impact Intern will work directly with the Senior Program Impact manager and the COO who will oversee the intern program. The Program Impact Intern’s main priority will be to support our current Chapter programming in schools and correctional facilities. They will organize and input program impact data into Salesforce, evaluate program assessments, and research for outreach and recruitment lists. They will assist in creating reports, attend virtual trainings for note-taking, and support various program projects, including material development.
Responsibilities (include but not limited to):
– Organize and input program impact data into Salesforce
– Score and evaluate program evaluations to gauge impact
– Research and develop lists for program outreach and recruitment
– Help create reports to evaluate and present program data
– Attend virtual training with new chapters for observation and note-taking
– Assist with other program projects as needed which include developing materials and supplemental worksheets
The intern will attend staff meetings, attend regularly scheduled meetings with their manager
and have weekly meetings with other interns.
