Role and Responsibilities

Reporting to the Founder & CEO, the Vice President of Sales and Business Development is the manager of a team of sales and business development professionals. The Vice-President of Sales and Business Development is responsible for creating and executing a strategy that increases because I said I would’s presence in existing markets while also focusing on developing new markets in accordance with the organization’s strategic vision. This position requires a solid understanding of promotional marketing strategy as well.

Responsibilities
  • Create and execute a sales and marketing strategy with the Director of Speaking Engagement that generates $1.4M in annual revenue
  • Work with the Fulfilment Manager to create promotions, new products and ensure that meet and greets are generating a pipeline of various opportunities
  • Act as the account executive for strategic accounts across various markets, including speaking engagements, corporate relationships, non-profit partnerships, etc. – approximately 25% of the job.
  • Help the New Business Development Manager develop a pipeline of new local chapters in schools and prisons and develop partnerships with other charities
  • Ensure that the Camp Account Executive has a functional sales and marketing strategy that is capable of generating $750k in camper fees annually
  • Encourage, motivate, and appreciate the sales team in a manner that produces high job satisfaction and low turnover
  • Establish sales and marketing best practices and standards that are leveraged by the entire organization regardless of role
  • Provide ongoing recommendations for website improvements.
  • Guide and mentor team members in assessing difficult situations, resolving customer service problems, adjusting approaches and strategies, and monitoring outcomes.

Role and Responsibilities

The Mental Health Program Manager will report to the Chief Operating Officer and work with program team members and other staff across programs. Role:
The Corrections Program Coordinator will report to the Chief Operating Officer and will
work with program team members and other staff. The Corrections Program coordinator is an important member of the organization and is responsible for

Role:
Reporting to the Founder & CEO, the Director of Fundraising and Development will plan and implement a development and fundraising program to provide for the short- and long-term needs of the organization. The successful candidate will possess a depth of experience in major gifts, capital campaigns and community/family foundation grants. This position helps forge new relationships that build because I said I would’s visibility and financial resources.  
Responsibilities:

  • Build relationships with potential and current major individual donors, communicate the impact of the organization, and make direct asks for gifts between $5,000 and $250,000 that fuel our overall operations and/or capital campaigns.
  • Build relationships with community and family foundations that award grants between $5,000 and $100,000.
  • Lead a team of 2-4 professional volunteers or interns focusing on fundraising and development who work between 5-20 hours a week individually.
  • Oversee donor stewardship through video calls, video messages, text messaging, social media posts, emails, and events.
  • Ensure our donor management system (Salesforce) has accurate data, actionable reports, and integrations with important third-party data sources like wealth screening or birthday lists.
  • Leverage Salesforce CRM and the integrated Pardot email platform to create persuasive email fundraising marketing campaigns that utilize advanced features like AB testing and workflow rules that automatically update records. These system changes are made by our full-time Salesforce Admin employee, but with guidance and direction from the Director of Fundraising & Development.
  • Manage relationships, processes, and recruitment efforts for our Board of Directors and our Associate Board of Directors and manage board-related processes and programs
  • Create fundraising programs that can be executed by because I said I would supporters (i.e., fundraising kits) in our chapters that are in geographically distributed areas.
  • Meet regularly with the Executive Leadership Team and ensure that fundraising development is carried out in ways that align with the organization’s values, mission, vision, and strategic plan

About the Role:
The Event Coordinator Intern will play a key role in supporting our events and marketing
programs. The role will also support the organization by providing assistance with events
management, execution, communication, and design for events and promotional materials. The
intern will work directly with the Executive Assistant to the CEO and the COO, who oversees the
intern program.
This is a remote internship and requires a minimum commitment of 10-15 hours per week. This
is an unpaid internship but offers eligibility for credit through your school.
 
Responsibilities (include but not limited to):

  • Assist with special projects as assigned under the project manager
  • Assist in the program development for events and solicit sponsors while creating and
    coordinating the distribution of promotional materials
  • Assist in event planning, scheduling, marketing, inquiries, resourcing, and proposal
    development for various events and projects
  • Update and create PowerPoints for client and donor presentations
  • Create a database for special events using Salesforce
  • Assist with donor acknowledgment and guest follow-up
