Role and Responsibilities

The Mental Health Program Manager will report to the Chief Operating Officer and work with program team members and other staff across programs. This position offers an opportunity to inform, design, and build programs that support mental health based on best practices and work directly with individuals by connecting with supporters.

Responsibilities:

  • Informs and designs educational programs based on research and best practices in mental health, collaborating with other team members
  • Improves staff competence by providing educational resources and training as needed
  •  Work with supporters to determine mental health challenges to connect them to longer-term solutions to face their adversities. Clients may also be facing challenges with substance abuse, suicidal ideation, employment concerns, disease, bereavement, and other challenges
  • Monitors program participants through self-reporting and client check-in; obtaining additional resources as applicable; intervening in crises; providing personal support.
  • Maintains clients’ records by reviewing notes, logging events and progress.
  • Communicate clients’ progress by conducting weekly reporting.
  • Improves results by studying, evaluating, and re-designing processes; implementing changes; rewriting procedures when needed.
  • Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing interventions and results from data and trends; compiling statistics; completing grant and subsidy applications.

Role and Responsibilities

Reporting to the Chief Operating officer, the Director of Human Resources is responsible for coordinating all administrative activities related to the organization’s personnel. Guest Relations & Event Manager

Job Title: Guest Relations & Events Manager

Role and Responsibilities

We’re looking for a dedicated and dynamic individual to join our team as the Guest Relations & Event Manager. In this role, you’ll be the primary point of contact for our guests, ensuring they have an extraordinary experience from the moment they arrive until their departure.Responsibilities include:

  • Manage guest experience from reservation throughout their visit for approximately 1,000 primary guest contacts a year, including but not limited to taking reservations, conducting event/program planning calls, changing reservations, guest’s requests and greeting guests upon arrival.
  • Work in conjunction with staff to ensure that the facilities are ready for families and groups throughout the year by communicating unique needs, check-in requests and other special requirements in a documented fashion in our CRM system (SalesForce) and other software.
  • Plan and execute 30 corporate/nonprofit retreats a year: Work closely with corporate and nonprofit clients to understand their objectives and craft personalized retreat plans. Oversee the entire event lifecycle, from concept development and budgeting to on-site management and post-event wrap-up.
  • Manage wedding event planning for 8 weddings a year: Liaise with couples to understand their vision for their big day and create bespoke wedding packages. Handle all aspects, including venue decoration, catering, entertainment, photography, and any other services required.
  • Collaborate with +15 vendors overall: Establish and maintain strong relationships with a diverse network of vendors. Coordinate with these professionals, including hot air balloon pilots, florists, photographers, caterers, and entertainers, to provide excellent service and meet the unique needs of each event.
  • Maintain accurate guest records: Keep detailed records of all guest interactions, reservations, payments, and feedback. Use this data to personalize service, make improvements, and address any recurring issues.
  • Support business development efforts: Help support the process of creating a pipeline of events and programs, leading to sustained revenue growth. Meet with potential clients, including schools, nonprofits, correctional professionals, wedding planners, and other groups, presenting our venue as an ideal choice for their events.
  • Coordinate services and manage logistics.

Reporting to the Camps and Retreat Director, the Hospitality & Food Service Manager will help manage the cleaning services, inventory and food services at the 92-acre property. This position supports the Camp Because I said I would mission by managing the housekeeping team in cleaning Camp facilities including lodging areas, meeting spaces and common areas and managing kitchen as required. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Clean lodging and meeting spaces while managing a team of housekeeping team of part-time employees and possibly volunteers at times.

General Description of Position

The Camps and Retreats Director is responsible for fulfilling the mission of because I said I would by providing leadership and management for the overall operation. The position will report to the Chief Executive Officer and work with staff, client organizations, participants, donors, volunteers, and vendors. The role includes leading quality camp and retreat experiences; administrative management; securing and supervising camp staff; managing finances; and fulfilling a marketing plan. The camp and retreat facility is in Walhonding, Knox County, Ohio, 1 hour NE of Columbus.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Implement and monitor safety protocols: Establish operational safety standards and protocols, including regular safety inspections, emergency response procedures, and staff training. Monitor compliance and take corrective action as necessary.
  • Oversee youth summer camp operations for 100 kids in 2-week sessions, 4 sessions total in the summer: Plan and execute summer camp programs for youth aged 12-17. Ensure a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment that promotes personal growth, fosters teamwork, and creates memorable experiences.
  • Facilitate logistics for family bereavement retreats, 150 families each year: Coordinate all logistical aspects for family bereavement retreats, from setting up private spaces to managing resources needed for therapeutic activities. Monitor the quality of services and infrastructure to ensure a supportive environment for attendees.
  • Supervise camp staff operations: Direct the daily operations of the camp staff including maintenance and housekeeping, ensuring each department’s functions align with overall camp operations. Conduct regular staff meetings to communicate operational updates and address any issues.
  • Maintain day-to-day camp operations so that corporate retreats and weddings run smoothly: Oversee the camp’s day-to-day operations, ensuring all facilities and equipment are well-maintained and functional. Coordinate with maintenance and housekeeping teams for timely repairs and upkeep to provide a safe and welcoming environment.
  • Manage operational budget: Oversee the creation and management of the operational budget, ensuring all costs, including utilities, supplies, maintenance, and staff salaries, are accounted for. Regularly monitor expenditure to ensure operations stay within the budgetary constraints.

General Description of Position

Reporting to the Founder & CEO, theVice President of Fundraising & Development serves as a critical team member and an active participant in making strategic decisions for because I said I would. In partnership with the Founder, this position is responsible for board development, all fundraising and development activities. The successful candidate will help forge new relationships to build because I said I would’s visibility, impact, and financial resources. The Vice President of Fundraising & Development will design and implement a comprehensive plan for developing key external alliances by cultivating individual and philanthropic support.

The Vice President of Fundraising & Development will have primary responsibility for establishing and implementing the foundation needed to grow to $2 million in fundraising annually funding through the solicitation of major gifts, federal and state grants, special events, and corporate and foundation support.

This position will diversify because I said I would funding sources and work closely with other team members to secure funding for new initiatives.   • Implement donor stewardship programs: Develop and implement a stewardship program aimed at deepening relationships with donors. Create personalized communication and recognition strategies to express gratitude and encourage ongoing support.
