Role and Responsibilities

Reporting to the Founder & CEO, the Vice President of Sales and Business Development is the manager of a team of sales and business development professionals. The Vice-President of Sales and Business Development is responsible for creating and executing a strategy that increases because I said I would’s presence in existing markets while also focusing on developing new markets in accordance with the organization’s strategic vision. This position requires a solid understanding of promotional marketing strategy as well.

Responsibilities
  • Create and execute a sales and marketing strategy with the Director of Speaking Engagement that generates $1.4M in annual revenue
  • Work with the Fulfilment Manager to create promotions, new products and ensure that meet and greets are generating a pipeline of various opportunities
  • Act as the account executive for strategic accounts across various markets, including speaking engagements, corporate relationships, non-profit partnerships, etc. – approximately 25% of the job.
  • Help the New Business Development Manager develop a pipeline of new local chapters in schools and prisons and develop partnerships with other charities
  • Ensure that the Camp Account Executive has a functional sales and marketing strategy that is capable of generating $750k in camper fees annually
  • Encourage, motivate, and appreciate the sales team in a manner that produces high job satisfaction and low turnover
  • Establish sales and marketing best practices and standards that are leveraged by the entire organization regardless of role
  • Provide ongoing recommendations for website improvements.
  • Guide and mentor team members in assessing difficult situations, resolving customer service problems, adjusting approaches and strategies, and monitoring outcomes.
  • Facilitate team effectiveness through individual coaching and regularly monitoring performance.
  • Responsible for budget forecasting, managing expenditures, and planning for short and long-term sales needs. Ensure expenditures align with current objectives and implement methods to monitor the budget and resolve variances.
  • Manage and implement the strategies for our Salesforce implementation.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business from four-year college or university.
  • Four to ten years of sales experience in business-to-business industries with high-value accounts; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Extensive experience negotiating contracts involving sales and partnerships.
  • He/she must be detail-oriented and able to simultaneously manage dozens of business transactions and relationships.

Mental Health Program Manager

Job title: Mental Health Program Manager
Location: Remote, must be licensed and able to practice in Ohio

Role and Responsibilities

The Mental Health Program Manager will report to the Chief Operating Officer and work with program team members and other staff across programs. This position offers an opportunity to inform, design, and build programs that support mental health based on best practices and work directly with individuals by connecting with supporters.

Responsibilities:

  • Informs and designs educational programs based on research and best practices in mental health, collaborating with other team members
  • Improves staff competence by providing educational resources and training as needed
  •  Work with supporters to determine mental health challenges to connect them to longer-term solutions to face their adversities. Clients may also be facing challenges with substance abuse, suicidal ideation, employment concerns, disease, bereavement, and other challenges

Role and Responsibilities
Reporting directly to the Founder, the New Business Development Manager works to recruit new schools, prisons, juvenile detention centers, and nonprofits to join our chapter program. The New Business Development Manager is a sales-oriented role with the goal of recruiting 50 new chapters a year.   • Manages Salesforce CRM database of all program opportunities and contacts by logging notes and detailed information in account opportunities, creating informative reports, utilizing Salesforce apps that increase productivity and creating dashboards that make priorities clear.
  • Negotiates program contracts and agreements in a manner that brings higher value to the organization through revenue, partnerships, advertising, merchandise or other agreements that generate value for one or both organizations involved.
  • Develops and executes marketing plans that include email, social media, cold calling, webinars, mailings and other promotional efforts.

Role:

Role and Responsibilities

because I said I would is a social movement and nonprofit dedicated to the betterment of humanity through promises made and kept. We are changing lives through Promise Cards, chapters of volunteers, character education in schools, and awareness campaigns with global reach.

The Human Resources Intern will directly assist with a wide range of projects related to HR compliance, recruiting, onboarding/orientation, and employee benefits. This internship will require a min of 15 hours per week and is a remote internship with the possibility of some in-person meetings based on current response to pandemic. This is an unpaid internship.

This position assists with the creation of HR materials and services including – employee handbook, policies, job descriptions and employee satisfaction, as well as day to day updating of employee records and helping create advisory boards.

The intern will work directly with the COO who will oversees HR at this time, and the intern program.

Responsibilities (include but not limited to):
  • Update our internal databases employee information, including contact details and employment forms
  • Assist with screening of resumes and application forms
  • Schedule and confirm interviews with candidates
  • Assist with preparation of HR-related reports as needed
  • Review and distribute company policies in digital formats or hard copies including employee handbook and job descriptions

The intern will attend staff meetings, have access to their mentor, attend regularly scheduled meetings with their manager and have biweekly meetings with other interns.
