A man called into our office this week. He said that he had been using a promise card to help him overcome a problem he had. One tally for every day of success. He stumbled… but then got back up. Eventually he had so many consecutive days of success that he decided tallies weren’t needed anymore. There wasn’t going to be enough space on the back of the card anyway. Still sober to this day. Good job, Jason.
it a very perfect way to make decisions by using these cards and also very thoughtful at helping one on keeping their promises.
Thanks – It’s a very hard and long road ahead of me –
Good on you Jason, keep going, one day at a time and be gentle with yourself.
thank you very much for your support Kate…. it’s a very long hard road ahead it’s a battle every single day of my life every hour every minute every second till the end
Thank you. …..

To do it on your own because you said you would is a hard but courageous road you are taking. Well done for every day you have marked, and every day since. You are a real hero by taking on something that scares you, but doing it anyway.
thank you for your comment Natalie and it is a very very hard long road ahead…. I tell you one thing it does not get easier as time goes on I feel like it’s harder to stay good and keep my promises what I’m doing yet because I said I would
Thanks – It’s a very hard and long road ahead of me –
I know full well how difficult it is to stop drinking. I have been an alcoholic for over 20 years and so sick of finding myself back at the bottom of a bottle as I wobble and fail. I’m beginning to recognise though that as difficult as it is to abstain, it is more difficult living the life of an alcoholic with the pain and suffering that it brings and the humiliation of watching those around you view you with either distain or pity. You have inspired me to begin my own promise card Jason and also to Tally my successes as its easy to forget how far I have come. Stay strong and thankyou for your inspiration. xx
