This past October of 2018, days before Sarah went to see a because I said I would event, her father was diagnosed with lung cancer. Many of you know the Founder of our organization lost his father to the same illness. “Hearing his story, and the promises he has made since has helped me more than anyone could know”, Sarah said.
Sara treasures this raw and blurry picture of her dad and all his girls. “I don’t have many pictures. My dad went through a lot in his life and we lost a ton of pictures from when we were young”. Maybe the heart she imposed on the picture, which encircles both of their hands, symbolizes her willingness to face an uncertain future…together.
“My Dad chooses to fight what ails him. To him, I promise to help him fight to live longer.”
