Adult Chapters

Because I said I would Columbus:
+60 chapter members honored their promise to make hand-tied blankets for the homeless in their city.

School Chapters

First-ever high school chapters launched

Because I said I would is proud to announce that we have started high school chapters for the first time in Cleveland, Columbus and Akron, Ohio. Full school assemblies were held at Fairview High School, Walnut Ridge High School and Buchtel CLC, totaling over 1,500 students. The select students who join their school’s
because I said I would chapter will keep promises to help people in need and work to become better citizens through personal development.

We have adult chapters currently operating in all of these cities that are available to help support the growth of these young men and women. A single teacher cannot do it all alone. It takes a village.

Some of these kids are being raised in difficult situations that most adults will never understand. They did not ask to grow up poor. T
hey did not ask to be abused.

They did not ask to be abandoned.
But in all that hasn’t gone right, they still believe that you should honor the promises you make. They know the only person in this world you can control is yourself.
