Mask Sewing Partnership

“The growing supply chain shortage of personal protective equipment (PPE) and the ripple effect to those on the front lines is a foremost concern for all health care professionals.”

– American Medical Association

We are actively seeking to partner with groups of sewers and organizations with a focus on sewing. This could also be a community or living facility that has a heavy sewing demographic.

Because I said I would is promising to support the efforts of making a million face masks to help during the COVID-19 Pandemic. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recently loosened its rules regarding face masks allowing handmade masks for health care workers because of the shortages and are overall recommending individuals wear face masks to help stop the spread of the virus. With this new protocol, hospitals are calling on individuals to sew cloth face masks to help offset the shortage of standard  N-95 masks.

Because I said I would will be providing:

  • a clear and detailed video and written instructions with a pattern to follow (both created by a large sewing retailer and approved by University Hospitals)
  • free mask kits for those who are willing and able to make the commitment to complete these masks
  • Additional resources such as frequently asked questions and updates on best practices

These masks will be collected and donated to local area hospitals.

If you are a part of an organization and want to partner with us in these efforts, please complete the form below and someone will contact you with more information.
