This Unemployment Transition Program provides persons unemployed by COVID-19 with leadership training, networking opportunities & service projects throughout a six week program.
Our goal is to lead participants to life-sustaining employment while improving mental health outcomes during this stressful period. This program is designed by five-time TEDxTalk presenter Alex Sheen, the because I said I would staff and our advisory councils in career placement and mental health.
6-week online program:
Leadership Development Workshops
Accountability best practices. The four types of self-control. Time management. Our interactive workshops teach skills that HR decision makers want to hire. One 45 minute workshop each week held online.
Networking opportunities
Participants are placed in groups of 5 that meet each week. This accountability support group helps keep your job search on track and opens up networking opportunities. One meeting each week for 30 minutes.
Volunteering pays off for job hunters
People who volunteer have a 27% better chance of finding a job than those who don’t. Help families who have lost a loved one to COVID-19 and become more hirable at the same time. Group-selected service project that takes 3-8 hours.
