A Raw & Emotional Story
Sparked by the loss of his father, Alex began sending Promise Cards to anyone who requested them at no cost.
Since his father’s passing on September 4th, 2012, because I said I would has sent over 12.8 million Promise Cards to more than 150 countries. Heartwarming, humorous, inspirational and tragic – the stories of these promises teach practical life lessons that have inspired lives around the world.

because I said I would is a social movement and nonprofit dedicated to the betterment of humanity through promises made and kept. We are changing lives through character development programs and volunteer projects in partnership with schools, juvenile detention centers, prisons and communities. During the pandemic, we have dedicated our resources to COVID-19 prevention and response because that’s what the world needs.
Promise Cards for Everyone
Each of your attendees will receive a pack of ten Promise Cards. These Promise Cards come pre-counted and organized by our volunteers. Writing a promise down brings it to a whole other level of commitment.

Your event is supported by an entire team of professionals. Alex’s executive assistant helps with all the travel and scheduling. Our Logistics Manager handles all the shipments and logistics. We even have a member of our executive management team assigned to your account to ensure our promises are kept.
