because I said I would is a social movement and 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to the betterment of humanity through promises made and kept. We are changing lives through Promise Cards, chapters of volunteers, character education in schools, prisons and juvenile detention centers and communities, as well as awareness campaigns with global reach.
Because I said I would is delivering COVID-19 prevention and response programs, including:
- 270 volunteer sewers creating over 18,000 face masks for healthcare facilities
- 100 scholarships for an Unemployment Transition Program for people who have lost their jobs in the pandemic
- 501 comfort endurance meals for healthcare workers in COVID-19 hotspots
- 7 public schools supported with COVID-19 prevention programming
